Ben & Lex – Soundboy EP (Rocstar)
Two interesting tracks here from the South West duo Ben & Lex. Soundboy StepUp keeps with their latest dub influenced breakbeat style and is a bit of a dark horse on the dancefloor. All the Breakz is the best attempt at a cut and paste club track I’ve heard for a while, forging together breakbeats from original funk and old skool thorugh to dubstep. Well put together, and not over the top in its variety although as ever with these things is guaranteed to confuse the average punter.
